The Landes d’Armagnac are chockfull of fishing sites and places where you can relax for a day or a half day.
Nabias Lagoon in ARUE

Formed during the last ice age, lagoons were a characteristic of the local landscape, before the massive planting of pine trees in the 19th century. Today, these small bodies of water are rare and offer a real ecological interest with their specific fauna and flora. This space between land and water has inspired a legend told on descriptive panels. Picnic possible. Fishing allowed without a permit.
The Blue Mill in ESTIGARDE
Trout fishing without a permit for a day or a half day. Family fishing in the small basins (gear and bait are provided). Open by appointment from 2/24 to 3/8, then Mondays and Tuesdays; call +33 6 77 23 25 44. Open Wednesday through Sunday and holidays from 3/8 to late October. 8:30 AM-12:30 PM and 2:00 PM-6:00 PM. Located 7 kms from Arue, going toward Maillères. Former hangar set up to welcome visitors. Picnic area. Local life and ancient tools exhibit. Free admission. Church and museum open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM from 5/1 to 9/30. River fishing nearby (license required).
La Gaube lake in ARTHEZ D’ARMAGNAC
Restored 18th century mill, called « La Gaube », with a 6 acre lake where fishing is permitted. Picnic tables.
Fly fishing in ROQUEFORT
Marked out path and fly fishing (only) area near the city center, on the Estampon river.
SAINTE FOY lake
Listed as a remarkable site. Picnic area located near a hiking trail around the lake,ruins of an old mill. Fishing, traditional games.
